General Information

 

School Start and Dismissal:

The first bell of the day rings at 8:10 AM. This is the signal for students in grades 4-6 to line up at their class entrance to the building, and wait for their teacher to meet them at the door and escort them to the classroom. The tardy bell rings five minutes later at 8:15 AM. The first bell for grades K-3 rings at 8:25 AM. The tardy bell rings at 8:30 AM. Students must be in their classrooms, seated at their desk and ready to work at that time.

The dismissal bell rings at 3:20 PM for grades K-3 and 3:25 for grades 4-6.

 
Central School participates in the federal school breakfast and lunch program. Breakfast is served from 7:30 AM until 8:00 for student in grades 4-6 and 7:30 AM until 8:05 for students in grades K-3. Elementary lunch begins at 11:00 AM and ends at 12:00 PM


Important Dismissal Procedures:

All hallways must remain clear of visitors until the final bell has rung.

Parents or caregivers are asked to pick up students outside of the building on school grounds after school. Parents can meet Kindergarten students at the North entrance. All other student can be picked up from the east side of the building (1st street)

Students will not be sent across the street to waiting vehicles. Teachers have been instructed to keep students on the grounds until caregivers arrive.

All students will exit the building either through the east doors (East Gate) or the south doors (South Gate)

Students who have PE at the end of the day may only be picked up after their return to Central School.

Students attending kids club after school will be dismissed directly to the multipurpose room.

All students must have an after school dismissal plan filed in the office. If a student's dismissal plans are changed, parents should notify the office by sending a note or calling the office.
