Roundup Central School has a long-standing history for  providing local students with a quality education.  Most recently, in 2009, the school was recognized as a   National Title I Distinguished School. This award was based on making Annual   Yearly Progress (AYP) for over two years in a row.  That same year the school was nominated as a National Blue Ribbon School.  Also, in 2009   Education Northwest, formally known as Northwest Educational Laboratories did a feature article on the school that was published in their magazine Northwest Education (http://educationnorthwest.org/resource/675). In both 2009 and 2010 the principal of the school served on a discussion panel presented by Education Northwest that examined turnaround schools.

Today Central School serves approximately 320 students in grades K-6. These students are taught by a staff of approximately 24 certified teachers and specialist.  Support staff includes 17 classroom/school and instructional aides, two office personnel, a four member housekeeping/custodial staff, and a five member cooking staff. All staff members at Central School strive in their individual areas to make the learning experience of students, both meaningful and positive.

Central School is a Community of Leaders  and Learners.
